RESUMEN

In order to explore the seasonal variation and influencing factors of bacterial community structure in storage reservoirs, the impact of environmental factors must first be examined. In this study, the seasonal variation in bacterial community structure and its response to water quality factors were explored by monitoring the water quality of Qingdao Jihongtan Reservoir, the only reservoir of the Yellow River diversion project, using high-throughput sequencing technology and symbiotic network analysis. The results showed that the diversity and richness of bacterial communities were highest in summer and lowest in winter, and those in the inlet were higher than those in the outlet. The structure of the bacterial community was similar in spring and winter and in summer to autumn. The dominant bacteria phyla were:Actinobacteriota (6.63%-57.38%), Proteobacteria (11.32%-48.60%), Bacteroidota (5.05%-25.74%), and Cyanobacteria (0.65%-24.74%). Additionally, the abundances of Chloroflexi, Dependentiae, Fusobacteriota, and Margulisbacteria were the highest in autumn and the lowest in winter. The dominant bacterial genera were:hgcI_clade (3.72%-34.66%), CL500_29_marine_group (0.31%-20.13%), and Limnohabitans (0.16%-10.37%). Further, the abundances of Flavobacterium, Polaromonas, and Rhodoferax were the highest in winter and the lowest in summer; the trend of Domibacillus and Limnobacter was the opposite. The abundance of Proteobacteria and Campilobacteria in the inlet was significantly higher than that in the outlet, and the Planctomycetota showed the opposite. The abundances of Dinghuibacter, Arenimonas, and Rhodobacter in the inlet were significantly higher than those in the outlet. Competition and antagonism dominated the interaction relationship of bacterial communities in spring, whereas mutualism dominated in winter. There were significant differences among key species in the symbiotic network at different seasons and sampling sites. Water temperature, DO, water storage capacity, and water storage sources had a great influence on bacterial community structure in the Jihongtan Reservoir.

RESUMEN

Non-small cell lung cancer is the most common malignant tumor in the world. Currently, chemotherapy is still the major method for non-small cell lung cancer treatment, but the problem of cancer drug resistance still exists, so we designed 5 different phosphorothioate oligonucleotides to silence key genes in tumor cell development, which could help avoid inducing cancer cell drug resistance. MicroRNAs have been shown to play a crucial role in the pathogenesis and progression of many malignancies, such as breast, colon, lung, and pancreatic cancer. According to the data from the Gene Expression Omnibus database, miR-21 has been reported to be one of the top 20 differentially expressed microRNAs screened using the Morpheus online tool, and miR-21 has been revealed to regulate a series of biological behaviors in cancer cells, including cell proliferation, migration, invasion, metastasis, and apoptosis. In recent years, gene therapy has emerged as a new therapeutic strategy for cancer treatment. Antisense oligonucleotides have recently been suggested as a novel approach for targeting microRNAs by antisense-based gene silencing. Five phosphorothioate oligonucleotides were designed, synthesized, and screened for anticancer activity. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction was used to detect the relative expression of miR21. Among these 5 sequences, only phosphorothioate oligonucleotide 4 inhibited the proliferation of H1650 cells, and this effect was due to the induction of cancer cell apoptosis by activating the caspase-8 apoptotic pathway. In conclusion, this research confirmed the anticancer activity of phosphorothioate oligonucleotide 4 and revealed the underlying mechanism, which has the potential to be a novel anticancer strategy.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: This investigation aimed to develop a novel self-healing and antibacterial dental resin composite. The effects of water immersion on its properties were also evaluated. METHODS: Microcapsules filled with healing agent of triethylene glycol dimethacrylate were synthesized on the basis of previous studies. Antibacterial resin composite contained nano-antibacterial inorganic fillers that were modified by quaternary ammonium salt with long-chain alkyl. Microcapsules were incorporated into antibacterial resin composite at mass fraction of 7.5%. A commercial resin composite named Tetric N-Ceram was used as control. The resin samples were immersed in 37 °C distilled water for different periods. A flexural test was used to measure the mechanical properties of the novel resin composite. A single-edge V-notched beam method was used to measure fracture toughness and self-healing efficiency. A dental plaque microcosm biofilm model with human saliva as inoculum was formed. Colony-forming units (CFU) and lactic acid production of biofilm on the novel resin composite were calculated to test the antibacterial property. RESULTS: Mechanical properties and fracture toughness decreased significantly after the composite was immersed in water for 30 days (P<0.05), and no significant reduction was found from then on (P>0.05). Water immersion did not weaken the self-healing capability of the composite (P>0.05), and self-healing efficiency of 64% could still be obtained even after 270 days. The antibacterial resin composite showed a strong inhibition effect on the biofilm metabolic activity versus water immersion time from 1 day to 270 days. Therefore, the composite could still have a promising antibacterial property even after being immersed in water (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Water immersion could weaken the mechanical properties of the novel self-healing and antibacterial resin composite, but it insignificantly affected the self-healing and antibacterial properties of the composite.

RESUMEN

A HPLC method was established to determine the contents of the five anthraquinones and rhaponticin in the different varieties of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma. The difference existed in different varieties. The results showed that rhein and rhaponticin were marker substances which could be used to distinguish palm leaf groups rhubarb and wave leaf groups rhubarb. Authentic rhubarb didn't contain rhaponticin. Falsify rhubarb contains trace amounts of rhein. Rheum tanguticum contains abundant rhein. The ratio value of the content of rhein to chrysophanol could be used to distinguish R. tanguticum from the other two authentic varieties (R. palmatum and R. officinale). The content of rhaponticin varied largely in different varieties of wave leaf groups rhubarb.

RESUMEN

A series of new diiron azadithiolate (ADT) complexes (1-8), which could be regarded as the active site models of [FeFe]hydrogenases, have been synthesized starting from parent complex [(µ-SCH(2))(2)NCH(2)CH(2)OH]Fe(2)(CO)(6) (A). Treatment of A with ethyl malonyl chloride or malonyl dichloride in the presence of pyridine afforded the malonyl-containing complexes [(µ-SCH(2))(2)NCH(2)CH(2)O(2)CCH(2)CO(2)Et]Fe(2)(CO)(6) (1) and [Fe(2)(CO)(6)(µ-SCH(2))(2)NCH(2)CH(2)O(2)C](2)CH(2) (2). Further treatment of 1 and 2 with PPh(3) under different conditions produced the PPh(3)-substituted complexes [(µ-SCH(2))(2)NCH(2)CH(2)O(2)CCH(2)CO(2)Et]Fe(2)(CO)(5)(PPh(3)) (3), [(µ-SCH(2))(2)NCH(2)CH(2)O(2)CCH(2)CO(2)Et]Fe(2)(CO)(4)(PPh(3))(2) (4), and [Fe(2)(CO)(5)(PPh(3))(µ-SCH(2))(2)NCH(2)CH(2)O(2)C](2)CH(2) (5). More interestingly, complexes 1-3 could react with C(60) in the presence of CBr(4) and 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU) via Bingel-Hirsch reaction to give the C(60)-containing complexes [(µ-SCH(2))(2)NCH(2)CH(2)O(2)CC(C(60))CO(2)Et]Fe(2)(CO)(6) (6), [Fe(2)(CO)(6)(µ-SCH(2))(2)NCH(2)CH(2)O(2)C](2)C(C(60)) (7), and [(µ-SCH(2))(2)NCH(2)CH(2)O(2)CC(C(60))CO(2)Et]Fe(2)(CO)(5)(PPh(3)) (8). The new ADT-type models 1-8 were characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopy, whereas 2-4 were further studied by X-ray crystallography and 6-8 investigated in detail by DFT methods.

RESUMEN

PURPOSE: To summarize the outcomes of surgical treatment of 568 cleft palate patients. METHODS: 568 cleft palate patients of different age, gender were operated with the help of high-frequency electric knife. Iodoform gauze packing or absorbable hemostatic gauze was used on both sides of the relaxation incision. After surgery, the diet, temperature changes, wound healing and bleeding, postoperative cleft or perforation were observed and analyzed. RESULTS: Postoperative infection was not found in all cases. 24 patients had fever, most of them used iodoform gauze packing on both sides of the relaxation incision, returned to normal diet in longer time. 8 patients developed bleeding and 13 had postoperative cleft or perforation. CONCLUSIONS: It is suggested that intraoperative high-frequency electric knife can be used for cleft palate surgery to reduce the amount of bleeding, the use of absorbable hemostatic gauze is more helpful for wound healing and postoperative recovery.

RESUMEN

As the new H-cluster models, six diiron propanedithiolate (PDT) complexes with mono- and diphosphine ligands have been prepared and structurally characterized. The monophosphine model complex (mu-PDT)Fe(2)(CO)(5)[Ph(2)PNH(t-Bu)] (1) was prepared by reaction of parent complex (mu-PDT)Fe(2)(CO)(6) (A) with 1 equiv of Ph(2)PNH(t-Bu) in refluxing xylene, whereas A reacted with 1 equiv of Me(3)NO.2H(2)O in MeCN at room temperature followed by 1 equiv of Ph(2)PH to give the corresponding monophosphine model complex (mu-PDT)Fe(2)(CO)(5)(Ph(2)PH) (2). Further treatment of 2 with 1 equiv of n-BuLi in THF at -78 degrees C followed by 1 equiv of CpFe(CO)(2)I from -78 degrees C to room temperature afforded monophosphine model complex (mu-PDT)Fe(2)(CO)(5)[Ph(2)PFe(CO)(2)Cp] (3), whereas the diphosphine model complexes (mu-PDT)Fe(2)(CO)(4)(Ph(2)PC(2)H(4)PPh(2)) (4), (mu-PDT)Fe(2)(CO)(4)[(Ph(2)P)(2)N(n-Pr)] (5) and (mu-PDT)Fe(2)(CO)(4)[(Ph(2)P)(2)N(n-Bu)] (6) were obtained by reactions of A with ca.1 equiv of the corresponding diphosphines in refluxing xylene. All the new model complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopy and particularly for 1 and 3-6 by X-ray crystallography. On the basis of electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical studies, model 5 was found to be a catalyst for HOAc proton reduction to H(2), and for this electrocatalytic reaction an ECCE mechanism was proposed.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To study the clinical results of surgery for rotationally and vertically unstable pelvis fracture. METHODS: Thirty-four patients with rotationally and vertically unstable pelvis fractures were treated. There were 23 male and 11 female, with the average age of 36 years ranging from 13 to 56 years. There were 9 cases of type APC III, 14 cases of type LC III, and 11 cases of type VS according to Young-Burgess Classifiction. All patients' pelvis were treated with temporary external fixation after hospitalization, and were treated with open reduction and internal fixation through anterior approach after stabilization of body condition. RESULTS: All patients were followed up for 12 to 48 months (average 21 months). All the incisions healed well, and the fractures got union for 3 to 6 months. According to the Majeed evaluation, the results were excellent in 21 cases, good in 10, fair in 3. All patients were not remained deformity of rotation and dislocation. But 3 patients remained lameness, 4 remained low back pain, 3 remained both leg and feet numbness. CONCLUSION: In the management of the rotationally and vertically unstable pelvis fractures, a stable pelvis can be reconstructed by effective open reduction and internal fixation through the anterior approaches, so that further sequelae can be reduced.
