RESUMEN

Changes in thymic cells activity in stressed animals were compared to the level of 11-oxycorticosteroids in the blood and antioxidant hepatic activity in exposure of the hepatic projection region and solar plexus to varying doses of infrared radiation and its combination with constant or alternating magnetic fields. It was shown that combined action of constant or variable (pulsed with negative semiperiods) magnetic fields and infrared radiation in the above exposure promotes optimal conditions for regeneration in stressed rats.

RESUMEN

Techniques of the radical surgical treatment of tuberculosis of the shoulder joint with partial of subtotal osteochondral alloplasty are discussed, which was used in surgical treatment of 22 patients between the ages of 29 and 58 years. All patients had active tuberculous omarthritis that was accompanied in 9 cases by partial and in 13 by subtotal destruction of the humeral head. The results of treatment were followed up in 21 patients in terms varying from several months to 6 years. The tuberculous process alleviated in all patients with reconstruction of the destructed head anatomical structure and shoulder joint mobility was restored.

RESUMEN

In 14 patients with aseptic necrosis of the whole or almost the whole support surface of the femoral head its affected part was dissected and the defect was replaced with osteo-bursal muscular pedicle graft, taken from the greater trochanter of the same name. Peculiarity of the technique resides in the fact that the bursa of the greater trochanter is used as an integrated block with the osteochondral graft of the greater trochanter and the musculotendinous pedicle, attached to its frontal edge, taken from the musculus gluteus medius. Clinico-roentgenologic observations of the operated patients during 4 years demonstrated that the anatomical structure of the femoral head and functions of the joint are restored.

RESUMEN

A surgical treatment with the use of an internal extraarticular compression was undertaken in 55 cases of tuberculous coxitis, mainly characterized by a severe destruction of cotyloid cavity and hip joint proximal end. At the same time 42% of these patients had been subjected to unsuccessful radical and stabilizing operations. The proposed compression device made it possible to cure all the patients to produce joint ankylosis. The results of the treatment were traced from 1 to 17 years. Forty two out of 54 patients resumed their work.

RESUMEN

The authors describe an original method of partial or subtotal osteochondrous alloplasty in aseptic osteonecrosis of head of the femoral bone which was used in 26 patients. The observation during the period from several months to 8 years has shown that the osteochondrous allotransplant can substitute the injured portion of the head and restore its anatomical structure and functions of the joint.
