RESUMEN

Objective:To evaluate the development of fetal cerebral sulci and gyrus and the blood perfusion in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) by ultrasound. Methods:A total of 1 540 pregnant women with 28-34 weeks of pregnancy who underwent systematic screening in Henan Provincial People′s Hospital from January 2022 to October 2022 were prospectively selected, 100 pregnant women with GDM were selected as the GDM group. According to the effect of blood glucose control, the GDM group was divided into 2 groups: the satisfied control group (GDM group 1), and the dissatisfied control group (GDM group 2), with 50 cases in each group. At the same period, 50 healthy pregnant women at 28-34 weeks of gestation were enrolled as the control group. The differences of the sylvian fissure, parietooccipital sulci, calcarine sulci and cinguli sulci among the 3 groups were statistically analyzed. And the correlations between the deep of the brain cerebral sulci and gyrus and controlled blood glucose levels were evaluated. The umbilical artery pulsation index(UAPI), middle cerebral artery pulsation index(MCAPI) and ductus venosus pulsation index(DVPI) among the 3 groups were compared, and the differences in fetal blood perfusion among the 3 groups were evaluated. Results:There were no significant differences in the depths of the sylvian fissure, parietooccipital sulci, calcarine sulci and cinguli sulci between the control group and the GDM group 1 (all P>0.05), and they were larger than those of the GDM group 2 (all P<0.05). The depths of lateral fissure, parieto-occipital sulcus, cingulate sulcus and calcarine sulcus were negatively correlated with fasting blood glucose, 1 h and 2 h postprandial blood glucose (all P<0.05). There were no significant differences in MCAPI, UAPI and DVPI between the control group and GDM1 group (all P>0.05). The MCAPI in GDM 2 group was lower than that in the control group and GDM 1 group, and the UAPI and DVPI values were higher than those in the control group and GDM1 group(all P<0.05). Conclusions:The maturity of fetal cerebral sulci and gyrus in GDM pregnant women is related to the blood glucose control of pregnant women. The change of blood perfusion caused by persistent hyperglycemia in pregnant women and intrauterine hypoxia may cause the development retardation of cerebral sulci and gyrus.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To examine the protective effect of ginsenoside Rb1 (Rb1), the main component of Renshen (), on cardiomyopathy in db/db mice exposed to chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH) and explore the potential underlying mechanism of Rb1 in treating diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM). METHODS: The db/db mice were randomly separated into five groups: normal control group, model group, Rb1 20 mg/kg group, Rb1 40 mg/kg group, and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) group. Mice were exposed to air-condition or CIH for 8 weeks, and Rb1 and GLP-1 were administrated before CIH exposure every day. Oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), intraperitoneal insulin tolerance test (IPITT), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) were detected to evaluate glycolipid metabolism. The level of insulin was detected by a mouse enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cardiac function was detected by echocardiography, and myocardial pathology was observed by hematoxylin-eosin and Masson staining. The expression of collagen Ⅰ and collagen Ⅲ was detected by immunohistochemistry. Adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK)/Nrf2/heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) signaling pathway was detected by Western blot and immunofluorescence. RESULTS: Rb1 treatment could improve glucose tolerance and the level of cardiac function indexes, and inhibit the level of oxidative stress indexes and the expression of collagen Ⅰ and collagen Ⅲ. Moreover, Rb1 treatment enhanced AMPK phosphorylation and increased Nrf2 and HO-1 expression. CONCLUSION: Rb1 treatment alleviated CIH-induced diabetic cardiomyopathy and glycolipid metabolism disorders in db/db mice by inhibiting oxidative stress and regulating the AMPK/Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway.

RESUMEN

Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics and predictive factors of SSc associated heart disease. Methods:The clinical data of patients with SSc from January 2016 to December 2021 in Ningbo Medical Center Lihuili Hospital were collected. Aight healthy controls come from the medicial examination center. They were divided into a positive group and a negative group based on whether heart involvement was present or not. The clinical manifestations of the two groups were compared by t test, Wilcoxon signed rank test and χ2 test and Logistic regression or ROC curve was used to analyze the prognostic risk of SSc associated heart disease. Then the transcriptome sequencing was used to analyze the differential gene expression. Results:①A total of 75 SSc patients were treated in our hospital, of which 6 patients with overlap syndrome and 1 patient with congenital heart disease were excluded. The clinical data of 68 patients were analyzed including 16 patients in the positive group and 52 patients in the negative group. Among the 16 patients with cardiac involvement, 12 patients (75.0%) had abnormal electrocardiogram, 9 patients (56.2%) with heart valve disease, 8 patients (50.0%) with abnormal cardiac structure and 8 patients (50.0%) with pericardial effusion. The biomarkers were elevated in 10 cases (83.3%). ②Univariate analysis showed that the positive group had a longer course of disease [120(11.2, 132) months vs 48(24, 90)months, Z=-2.08, P=0.037], and the rate of pulmonary arterial hypertension (50.0% vs 11.5%, χ2=11.07, P<0.001) and renal insufficiency(50.0% vs 3.8%, χ2=20.78, P<0.001) in the positive group were significantly higher than those in the negative group. Further Logistic regression analysis revealed that long course of disease [ OR (95% CI) =1.011 (1.001, 1.021), P=0.031], pulmonary arterial hypertension [ OR (95% CI) =5.431, 95% CI (1.065, 27.710), P=0.042] and renal insufficiency [ OR (95% CI) =30.444 (4.139, 223.938), P<0.001] were risk factors for SSc associated heart disease. ③Nail-fold videocapillaroscopy (NVC) was checked in 63 patients. The difference of abnormal NVC changes between the two groups was statistically significant (93.3% vs 58.3%, χ2=5.87, P=0.013). The total number of capillaries in the positive group was significantly less than that in the negative group [3.5(2, 4.8) vs 6 (5, 7), Z=-2.97, P=0.003]. Further ROC curve analysis showed that the total number of capillaries less than 4.5 predicted the occurrence of cardiac involvement (sensitivity was 80.0%, specificity was 83.8%), and the area under the ROC curve (95% CI) was 0.805 (0.061, 1.000, P=0.003).④The transcriptome of a total of 11 SSc patients (including 6 in the positive group and 5 in the negative group) and 8 healthy controls were analyzed to obtain the synchronously down regulated gene TNFRSF13B. The differences between the three groups were statistically significant ( χ2=11.88, P=0.003), especially in the positive group and the healthy controls( χ2=11.19, P=0.004). Conclusion:SSc patients with long course of disease accompanied by PAH and renal insufficiency are prone to have heart involvement. Early capillary endoscopy is also helpful to predict the risk of heart involvement. Moreover, TNFRSF13B genetic testing is helpful but further study is needed.

RESUMEN

Objective:To evaluate left ventricular myocardial work in pregnant women with impaired glucose tolerance(IGT) in the third trimester by the non-invasive technical parameters of pressure-strain loop(PSL), and to explore its predictive value of risk of perinatal adverse events. Methods:From October 2020 to October 2021, 70 pregnant women of IGT and 50 healthy pregnant women in Henan Provincial People′s Hospital were included, and a 75 g oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT) was performed at 24-28 weeks. Then their routine obstetric examinations were followed up until one week postpartum and perinatal adverse events were recorded, such as diabetic mother-infant syndrome, macrosomia, et al. After 36 weeks of pregnancy before childbirth, echocardiography was performed and dynamic images of 3-5 cardiac cycles at apical four-chamber view, three-chamber view, and two-chamber view were recorded.Simultaneously, pressure-strain loop(PSL) curve, left ventricular global longitudinal strain(GLS), global work index(GWI), global constructive work(GCW), global wasted work(GWW) and global work efficiency(GWE) were calculated through the EchoPAC 203 workstation. Then the differences of all parameters were compared between the two groups. And a prediction model for perinatal adverse events was built by binary logistic regression, and ROC curve was used to analyze the prediction efficiencies of the prediction model and each independent influencing factor. Results:Compared with the control group, the absolute values of GLS, GWI and GCW of IGT group were lower(all P<0.05). The incidence of perinatal adverse events of the IGT group, including adverse pregnancy outcomes and neonatal adverse outcomes, was higher than that in the control group( P<0.05). According to logistic regression model, the GLS, GWI, GCW and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2-hPBG) were independent influencing factors for perinatal complications(all P<0.05); in addition, ROC curve anaysis showed the area under the curve of the predictive model based on the influencing factors, GLS, GWI, GWE and 2-h PBG were respectively 0.903, 0.820, 0.879, 0.854 and 0.771. Conclusions:The parameters of PSL can quantitatively assess the changes of left ventricular myocardial work in pregnancy women with IGT; and the incidence of perinatal adverse events in IGT pregnant women is higher; GWI, GCW, the models constructed based on GLS, GWI, GCW and 2-hPBG have potential values in predicting the risk of perinatal adverse events.

RESUMEN

Objective:To observe the morphological characteristics of urogenital hiatus in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) after vaginal delivery. Methods:This study included 192 pregnant patients from Henan Provincial People′s Hospital who met the conditions between Jan.2020 and Aug.2021. All participants were screened for GDM by oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) or fasting blood glucose at 24-28 weeks of pregnancy, and were divided into GDM group (34 cases) and non-GDM group (158 cases) based on the presence or absence of GDM. All participants underwent pelvic floor ultrasonography at the first trimester (6-8 gestational weeks), 3 days postpartum, 6 weeks postpartum, 6 months postpartum, and 1 year postpartum. Area of urogenital hiatus (AUH), transversal diameter of urogenital hiatus (TDUH) and anteroposterior diameter of urogenital hiatus (APDUH) were measured using Smart Pelvic. The Logistic regression model was used to calculate and match the propensity score between the GDM group and the non-GDM group. Results:In the non-GDM group, TDUH during rest maneuver at 6 weeks postpartum( P=0.319), the indicators during rest and contract maneuver at 6 months postpartum( P=0.586, 0.877, 0.164, 0.226, 0.465, 0.097), and TDUH during tension maneuver at 1 year postpartum( P=0.643) returned to the level of early pregnancy. In the GDM group, the indicators during rest maneuver and TDUH during contract maneuver at 6 months postpartum recovered to the level of early pregnancy ( P=0.647, 0.584, 0.376, 0.440), while APDUH and AUH during contract maneuver ( F=7.784, 9.785; P=0.005, <0.001) and the indicators during tension maneuver at 1 year postpartum( F=15.343, 11.974, 17.981; P<0.001) did not recover to the level of early pregnancy. After propensity score matching, APDUH and AUH during tension maneuver at 1 year postpartum in the GDM group were significantly greater than those in the non-GDM group( t=2.810, 2.926; P=0.006, 0.004). Conclusions:The pelvic floor muscles of GDM patients after vaginal delivery are more severely damaged, and the recovery speed is slower. Pelvic floor muscle exercise during pregnancy and enhanced postpartum follow-up are needed to prevent, diagnose and treat pelvic floor dysfunction early.

RESUMEN

The identification of oleaginous yeast species capable of simultaneously utilizing xylose and glucose as substrates to generate value-added biological products is an area of key economic interest. We have previously demonstrated that the Cutaneotrichosporon dermatisNICC30027 yeast strain is capable of simultaneously assimilating both xylose and glucose, resulting in considerable lipid accumulation. However, as no high-quality genome sequencing data or associated annotations for this strain are available at present, it remains challenging to study the metabolic mechanisms underlying this phenotype. Herein, we report a 39,305,439 bp draft genome assembly for C. dermatis NICC30027 comprised of 37 scaffolds, with 60.15% GC content. Within this genome, we identified 524 tRNAs, 142 sRNAs, 53 miRNAs, 28 snRNAs, and eight rRNA clusters. Moreover, repeat sequences totaling 1,032,129 bp in length were identified (2.63% of the genome), as were 14,238 unigenes that were 1,789.35 bp in length on average (64.82% of the genome). The NCBI non-redundant protein sequences (NR) database was employed to successfully annotate 11,795 of these unigenes, while 3,621 and 11,902 were annotated with the Swiss-Prot and TrEMBL databases, respectively. Unigenes were additionally subjected to pathway enrichment analyses using the Gene Ontology (GO), Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG), Cluster of Orthologous Groups of proteins (COG), Clusters of orthologous groups for eukaryotic complete genomes (KOG), and Non-supervised Orthologous Groups (eggNOG) databases.Together, these results provide a foundation for future studies aimed at clarifying the mechanistic basis for the ability of C. dermatis NICC30027 to simultaneously utilize glucose and xylose to synthesize lipids.

RESUMEN

In this work, a novel method for high spatial resolution U-Pb dating of zircon by laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) at 10-16 µm spot diameter has been proposed. This was achieved by introducing 2% (v/v) water-ethanol vapours into ICP in combination with the shielded torch system to increase the sensitivity and suppress the isotopic fractionation effect. Precise and accurate concordant U-Pb ages for Plesovice, GJ-1, and 91500 zircons were obtained using the proposed method, and the results agreed well with the isotope dilution-thermal ionization mass spectrometry (ID-TIMS) and LA-ICP-MS within 2σ, except for the ages obtained using dry plasma at 10 µm spot diameter. Additionally, the effects of plasma condition (dry plasma or 2% (v/v) ethanol plasma) and spot size (10, 16, 24, or 32 µm) on precision (RSD), accuracy (RE), and uncertainty (2σ) of the 206Pb/238U ages have been studied. The results indicated that increasing the spot diameter and introducing 2% (v/v) water-ethanol vapours into ICP significantly improved the precision, accuracy, and uncertainty for small spot diameters (10 and 16 µm), while it exhibited little influence for intermediate spot diameters (24 and 32 µm). Furthermore, the effects of spot size and plasma condition on the precision, accuracy, and uncertainty strongly depended on the sensitivity of analytes.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: Hemorrhage in the basal ganglia is a common type of intracerebral hemorrhage and has high mortality and poor prognosis. In our study, we aimed to evaluate surgical outcomes and functional recovery after evacuation of hematoma using either craniotomy or endoscopy. METHODS: We analyzed retrospective data from 58 patients with basal ganglia hemorrhage who were treated with hematoma evacuation using either craniotomy or endoscopy. Magnetic resonance imaging and a navigation system were used for calculating hematoma volume and for navigation during surgery. Clinical information and surgical outcomes were recorded. At 6-month follow-up, the recovery of neurologic function and the results of the Aphasia Battery of Chinese test were assessed. RESULTS: The endoscopy group showed lower intraoperative blood loss (75.36 ± 45.56 vs. 462.67 ± 120.08 mL, P < 0.001), shorter operation time (1.59 ± 0.30 vs. 4.17 ± 0.86 hours, P < 0.001), and a higher hematoma clearance rate (0.93% ± 0.05% vs. 0.88% ± 0.13%, P = 0.04) than the craniotomy group, respectively. No significant differences in mortality were identified, but a trend toward lower mortality in the endoscopy group was apparent (7.14% in the endoscopy group vs. 16.67% in the craniotomy group, P = 0.43). Assessment of neurologic recovery indicated significant differences in the modified Rankin Scale grades between the 2 groups (χ2 = 4.381, P = 0.036). Listening comprehension and speaking ability were also better in the endoscopy group than the craniotomy group (χ2 = 4.693, P = 0.03). CONCLUSIONS: Evacuation by endoscopy had better surgical outcomes, recovery of neurologic function, and aphasia recovery than evacuation by craniotomy. It appears that endoscopy is the surgical treatment of choice for middle-aged and elderly patients with a basal ganglia hemorrhage volume of >35 mL.

RESUMEN

Objective@#To investigate the current status of prevention and control of occupational hazards in a city in 2017, to understand the capability to prevent and control occupational hazards and the level of occupational health supervision and management, and to propose measures to urge employers to assume the main responsibility for the prevention and control of occupational diseases.@*Methods@#An analysis of the main factors influencing the prevention and control of occupational hazards in the city was performed to screen out six semi-quantitative assessment indicators (including the training of the main responsible persons and occupational health management personnel in companies) and four qualitative assessment indicators (including the coverage of supervision and inspection of occupational hazards performed by the district safety supervision department) , which could be used to measure the prevention and control effects of regional occupational hazards. Each indicator was scored. The typical investigation method was used to do data review and on-site inspection of 170 companies, 17 district-level occupational health supervision departments, and 16 sub-district (township) occupational health supervision departments in the city from October to December, 2017. The prevention and control of occupational diseases in each district was scored, and the completion rate and completion situation of each indicator in the city were analyzed.@*Results@#The mean score of prevention and control of occupational hazards in the city was 84.9. The scores of two districts were relatively high, being 88.9 and 88.7, respectively; the scores of 9 (52.9%) districts were higher than 85. The pass rate of training for the main responsible persons and occupational health management personnel in companies in the city was 95.9%, the pass rate of occupational health training for workers was 84.7%, the pass rate of occupational health examination for workers was 96.5%, the pass rate for the inspection of occupational hazardous factors in workplaces was 95.3%, the pass rate for notifying occupational hazards in workplaces is 95.9%, and the pass rate for applying the warning signs of occupational hazards in workplaces was 76.5%.@*Conclusion@#The awareness of the importance of prevention and control of occupational hazards in all districts of the city has been increased, but the effectiveness of occupational health training for workers needs to be strengthened. The supply and demand of occupational health technical services are still not matched, and the ways and methods of occupational health supervision and inspection need to be improved.

RESUMEN

Objective:To investigate the expression and significance ofβ1 integrin, Rac1, and RhoA in invasive micropapillary breast carcinoma (IMPC). Methods:Immunohistochemical staining was performed to detect the expression ofβ1 integrin, Rac1, and RhoA in 89 patients with IMPC and 90 patients with invasive ductal carcinoma-not otherwise specified (IDC-NOS) who were treated between January 2007 and December 2008 in Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital. The relationship among the three proteins and the expression ofβ1 integrin, Rac1, and RhoA with clinicopathological features were determined. Results:β1 integrin (78.7%) and Rac1 (76.4%) were highly expressed in patients with IMPC. This expression was significantly higher than that in patients with IDC-NOS (63.3%and 54.4%). Statistical difference was found between the two groups (P0.05). Conclusion:Thus,β1 integrin, Rac1, and RhoA were overexpressed and might play an important role in the high frequency of metastasis in patients with IMPC. These proteins could be considered as biomarkers for the prognosis and new targets for IMPC therapy.

RESUMEN

Objective To explore whether glutamine can ameliorate oxidative stress injury in mice with sepsis in order to provide an experimental basis for clinical application. Methods Thirty 5-week old Qunming male mice were randomly divided into three groups: control, model and glutamine groups, 10 mice in each group. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) 5 mL/kg was injected into intraperitoneal cavity to establish septic model in model and glutamine groups, and an equal amount of normal saline was injected into the cavity in control group. After the septic model was successfully established, propylene ammonia acyl-glutamine 0.75 g/kg was immediately injected through tail vein in the glutamine group, and an equal amount of sterile normal saline was injected into the vein in the model and control groups. After 6 hours, the experiment was terminated, the blood was collected from the orbital cavity and the animal was sacrificed; serum, liver and renal tissue homogenates were taken to detect the indexes of oxidative stress, superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), and lipid metabolite malonaldehyde (MDA).Results Compared with the control group, the levels of SOD activities and GSH-Px of serum and liver, kidney tissue in the model group were significantly lower, and the MDA content was significantly higher. Compared with the model group, the levels of SOD activities and GSH-Px of serum and liver, kidney tissue in the glutamine group were significantly higher, and the MDA content was significantly lower [SOD in the serum (U/mL): 134.78±3.74 vs. 124.60±3.49, SOD in the liver (U/mg): 56.71±1.35 vs. 49.84±0.86, SOD in the kidney (U/mg): 46.22±1.22 vs. 43.22±1.52; GSH-Px in serum (U/mL): 325.15±21.86 vs. 267.04±13.5, GSH-Px in liver (U/mg): 91.35±1.59 vs. 83.40±1.33, GSH-Px in kidney (U/mg): 136.08±0.58 vs. 132.97±0.74; MDA in serum (μmol/L): 9.20±0.32 vs. 13.67±1.24, MDA in liver (nmol/mg): 1.85±0.10 vs. 4.88±0.17, MDA in kidney (nmol/mg): 2.47±0.12 vs. 3.52±0.27, allP < 0.01].Conclusion Sepsis can cause oxidative stress and oxidative damage, glutamine not only can improve the levels of antioxidant enzymes of GSH-Px and SOD, enhance antioxidant capacity, reduce the MDA content of lipid metabolites, but also can reduce the toxic metabolites, so as glutamine has the effect of ameliorating oxidative stress injury.

RESUMEN

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To evaluate treatment modalities and prognosis differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC) with tracheal invasion.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Clinical data were reviewed and analyzed in 50 patients treated for DTC with tracheal invasion between January 1990 and June 1998. The different surgical modalities were applied according to the extent of tracheal invasion: shave excision (20 cases), tracheal sleeve resection or tracheal partial resection (23 cases), total laryngectomy or laryngeal closure surgery (7 cases). Thirty-eight cases received postoperative (131)I therapy. Survival rate was evaluated using the Kaplan-Meier analysis.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The 5-, 10- and 15-year survival rates of all the cases were 90.0%, 74.0% and 56.0%, respectively. The 5-, 10- and 15-year survival rates were 94.7%, 81.6% and 65.8% respectively in 38 cases with postoperative (131)I therapy and were 75.0%, 50.0% and 25.0% respectively in 12 cases without postoperative (131)I therapy, with statistically significant differences in 5-, 10- or 15-year survival rates between the patients of two groups.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>The tumors can be resected radically by corresponding surgery based on the extent of tracheal invasion. Postoperative (131)I therapy can enhance the survival rate of the patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma involving in trachea.</p>

RESUMEN

[Objective ] Intrastriatal Parr interneurons are considered to be the junction between striatal input and output neurons. This study purposes to confirm the morphology of Parr neurons and their distribution in striatum. [Method] Adult male SD rats were perfused and the brains were removed. The sections were conducted with a semiconductor-frozen microtome, then single labeling and double labeling were immunocytochemically conducted with PAP technique. Positive neurons were observed, counted, and calculated, and analyzed with SPSS. [Results] The distribution of Parr positive neurons in striatum was inhomogeueous, and was the most dense in the dorsal lateral area (P<0.001) ; the distribution of Parr positive neurons in matrix compartment was apparently more than patch compartment (82.0% vs 18.0%, P<0.001); Parr positive neurons in striaturn were medium-sized cell bodies with polygonal or oval in shape (mean diameter is 11.68 μm), and were larger in the lateral area than that in the medial area (P<0.01) ; the positive dendrites were dense and smooth without dendrite spines; the positive axons 1 were slender and their collaterals extended in striatum. [Conclusion] The characteristic of Parr positive neurons collecting mostly in lateral striatum and matrix eompartment, as well as their traits of intemeurons, indicated that they would affect the striatal projection neuronal function.

RESUMEN

This study evaluated the application of quantitative tissue velocity imaging (QTVI) in assessing regional myocardial systolic and diastolic functions in dogs with acute subendocardial ischemia. Animal models of subendocardial ischemia were established by injecting microspheres (about 300 microm in diameter) into the proximal end of left circumflex coronary artery in 11 hybrid dogs through cannulation. Before and after embolization, two-dimensional echocardiography, QTVI and real-time myocardial contrast echocardiography (RT-MCE) via intravenous infusion of self-made microbubbles, were performed, respectively. The systolic segmental wall thickening and subendocardial myocardial longitudinal velocities of risk segments before and after embolization were compared by using paired t analysis. The regional myocardial video intensity versus contrast time could be fitted to an exponential function: y=A.(1-exp(-beta.t)), in which the product of A and beta provides a measure of myocardial blood flow. RT-MCE showed that subendocardial normalized A.beta was decreased markedly from 0.99+/-0.19 to 0.35+/-0.11 (P0.05), the longitudinal peak systolic velocities (Vs) and early-diastolic peak velocities (Ve) recorded by QTVI were declined significantly (P<0.05). Moreover, the subendocardial velocity curves during isovolumic relaxation predominantly showed positive waves, whereas they mainly showed negative waves before the embolization. This study demonstrates that QTVI can more sensitively and accurately detect abnormal regional myocardial function and post-systolic systole caused by acute subendocardial ischemia.
