RESUMEN
Massive blood shed (1700 ml) from the punction wound in the left ventricle was observed in a patient on 65,000 U heparin. Comatose condition was accompanied by a pronounced lactacidemia of liquor (10 mmol/l) developed due to adrenaline administration with an extremely high glucose level (33 mmol/l--in blood; 11 mmol/l--in liquor). High efficacy of hyperbaric oxygenation in hypoxemic coma has been established.

The cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) was examined by chromatography-mass spectrometry in 10 normal subjects and 27 patients with comas of different etiology. The findings included detection of a number of highly toxic intermediate metabolites of intra- and extracerebral origin. Their concentration was dependent on the nature of the condition. Maximal toxicity of the CSF was observed in cases of severe craniocerebral trauma and hemorrhagic stroke which were associated with the penetration of blood into the CSF.

The model of acute mechanical ileus was created in 130 albino rats. Components of the blood kinin system were investigated. During the second day the kinin system of blood was activated, during the third day it was depleted. The use of one performance of HBO on the 2nd and 3d day of ileus decreased the level of kinin-forming factors. The investigations performed create prerequisites for using HBO and antikinin drugs in the postoperative period of acute ileus, control of the kinin system parameters being strictly observed.
