RESUMEN

Quantity and activity of components in the monoxygenase system of the liver microsomes have been studied for their dependence on the phenotype of acetylation. Results of investigations are presented. The majority of these enzymes exist as numerous molecular forms: isozymes. It is shown that activity of aminopyrine-N-demethylase and NADPH-cytochrome P-450 reductase depends on the phenotype of acetyltransferase.

RESUMEN

Effect of estron and estradiol hormones on the blood leukocyte migration inhibition test was studied in vitro. Blood autoplasm and water-salt extracts from the gastric tumour tissue were used as antigens. Marked inhibition of the blood leukocyte migration was noted in the majority of oncological patients in the presence of homologous tumour antigens or blood autoplasm. The effect of leukocyte migration inhibition was eliminated if leukocytes were preliminary incubated with estrogens, and then washed, or if the hormones were introduced into the medium together with the autoplasm or with the extracts from the tumour homologous tissue. It is suggested that estrogens block the antigen receptors on T-lymphocytes.

RESUMEN

Total double irradiation of rats with a fast neutron flow does not affect oxidative phosphorylation in the liver mitochondria but causes an essential decrease in the intensity of phosphorylation in mitochondria and chemoluminescence in blood serum of animals. Postradiation multiple administration of hydrocortisone intensifies the radiation inhibition of oxidation and phosphorylation of mitochondria and insulin administration stimulates phosphorylation in the liver mitochondria and the intensity of chemoluminescence in blood serum of rats. Hydrocortisone in combination with insulin has a less pronounced stimulating effect on phosphorylation than insulin, but the intensity of chemoluminescence in this case is higher than under the effect of each preparation separately.

RESUMEN

Oxidative phosphorylation in the mice liver mitochondria with chemical carcinogenesis was studied as affected by thymosine. It is found that under chemical carcinogenesis the energy metabolism (fraction III) lowered and administration of thymosine in the early periods of carcinogenesis favoured an increase in the indices up to the control level. In the late period of carcinogenesis the mentioned effect was not observed. The favourable effect of thymosine on the oxidative phosphorylation was associated with an increase in the immunological indices in the animals under experiment. It is supposed that the activity of thymosine as a hormonal factor includes participation in the energy metabolism regulation.

RESUMEN

The effect of insulin was studied as applied to the inhibited under conditions of adrenalectomy process of oxidative phosphorylation in the rat liver and heart mitochondria. It is established that adrenalectomy does not change oxidative activity of mitochondria but inhibits the process of phosphorylation, which results in the decreased values of the ADP/O coefficient and the respiratory control. Insulin administered to the adrenalectomized rats 3h before the experiments reduces the disturbed oxidative phosphorylation in mitochondria of the liver and heart by intensifying the degree of ADP phosphorylation.
